Summary
Emidio Orlich is an officer in the Austrian army. Despite his Croatian origins and his role in the Austrian army, he was raised as an Italian. The young man, who has fallen for a widow, is accused of being a traitor. The consequences will be as intense as the relationship between Italy and the Balkans has always been.
