Summary
Based on real life events, this film is the story of an unsung hero Franz Jägerstätter, one of the invisible individuals who, due to his own beliefs and disagreement with Hitler's politics, refused to respond to the call of his Nazi homeland and participate in the world's largest slaughterhouse called World War II. When confronted with the reality of a martial court, that is, an execution, this Austrian farmer will find his last refuge in the idyll of his memory of a rural life under the green Alpine highlands, within his family.
