Program
The Zagreb Film Festival will travel to Art-kino again this year, bringing with it four feature films and one block of local shorts, known as Blocks. ZFF's guest appearance opens with comedy Alice and the Mayor about a young philosopher who becomes an assistant and a right hand to the longtime mayor of Lyon who is running out - of ideas. The County, directed by the respected Icelandic director Grímur Hákonarson, a comedy about an Icelandic dairy company that decides to deal with the corruption of the local dairy association and the outdated and exploitative system that supports it. Our Mothers, directed and scripted by Cesar Diaz, brings the story of contemporary Guatemala where the trials of members of the regime's army who committed atrocities during the bloody civil war of the 1980s are being held. At the center of the story is the son of a missing guerrilla fighter trying to figure out his father's fate. The family adventure Eia's Christmas at Phantom Owl Farm follows a 10-year-old Eia whose Christmas holidays get a strange twist on an unexpected trip to a mysterious farm in the southern, rural parts of Estonia.
